Dookan began with a simple idea: to bring a taste of home a little closer to Indians living across Europe.
What started in Šenov as a small dream grew because people believed in it. Our team who showed up every day, our customers who trusted us with their homes and kitchens, our partners who stood beside us, and the friends who encouraged us from the very beginning.
Every order packed, every shelf stocked and every delivery made brought us one step further.
This September, Dookan moves into a new home. It is bigger, built for the future and an important milestone in our journey. But for us, this moment has never been about a building alone. It is about the people who helped us reach it.
Before we cut the ribbon and look ahead to everything that comes next, we want to take a moment to look back with gratitude.

Jiří Langer
Honoring someone who stood by us when it mattered most. Every growing business has people whose support becomes an important part of its story. For Dookan, Mr. Jiří Langer is one of those people.
During the early waves of the COVID-19 pandemic, when movement across Europe became difficult and dependable logistics were harder than ever to find, Mr. Langer and his team stepped forward to support us at a time when we needed it most.
For nearly two years, they travelled from Ostrava every Sunday to help Dookan deliver orders across Prague, Brno and Vienna. Their dedication single-handedly helped us overcome some of our most difficult logistics challenges and gave Dookan the support it needed during its foundational years.
What began as logistical support became something far more meaningful to us. It became a partnership built on reliability, generosity and trust.
As we open the doors to our new head office and warehouse in Ostrava, it feels especially meaningful to mark this milestone in the presence of someone who helped Dookan keep moving during one of the most defining periods of our journey.
We are deeply grateful for his support and truly honoured to welcome Mr. Jiří Langer as our Guest of Honour for this special occasion.
